Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response to DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, as well as being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Her other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
